The Power of the Truth
The six o’clock news began that evening as nothing out of the ordinary. The lead story was about the construction of the Safeways, and how successful the program had been, followed by news of a State Visit from the leader of the Honduran Nationals. Then, at nine minutes past the hour, the news anchors, reading their scripted comments, started a report that no one was expecting.

“And this just in: the following audio recording was made between a Federal Government contact and Larry Singer, the deceased ‘Internal Terrorist’ responsible for the first in a series of bombings that has torn through our Great Democracy”
“Tonight, we have a new story straight from DC; Larry Singer, the man accused and posthumously found Guilty of car bombing hundreds, was acting under coercion by the Federal Government. Here is verified recording of one of his last conversations:”

All across America, news stations were broadcasting the un-biased truth for the first time in years. So were radio programs, and organizations on the world wide web. Since everyone had their hands forced into feeding from the same trough for their news stories, the message spread like wildfire across the land. Even people in the Corporate Work Camps now knew that their own Government wasn’t trying to protect them; they were working to thin the herd. News organizations around the world, such as the CBC and BBC, picked up and rebroadcast the televised messages. Even as Government forces stepped in to suppress and deny, the genie was indeed out of the bottle.

An Uncivil War
President Mesbethe was furious over the leaked news of his Administrations involvement with the killing of it’s own people. In a rage, he scrawled out Executive Order 19271, bypassing the Joint Chiefs, and directly ordering the Federal Military Forces to raid every media facility, and destroy all broadcast equipment. Additionally, the order commanded the troops to kill witnesses on site. With this order, Mesbethe was no longer even trying to hide his intentions, and this is where Mesbethe made his final mistake.

The Joint Chiefs of Staff met openly on November 2nd, to discuss the order. All eyes were on D.C. as the Secretaries of the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines, gathered at the Lincoln Memorial. The meeting lasted only five minutes.

The men had all agreed that the time had come, as General Theodore Harris, spokesman for the Joint Chiefs, announced:

“Today, we, the assembled heads of the four branches, with the support of what remains of the Governments of the former States, do hereby re-declare the words of our forefathers. We invoke the ‘Declaration of Independence’ on November 2, 2019. As Thomas Jefferson said, “That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government”

Every branch of the Armed Services mutinied that day, along with members of the FBI, CIA, and former State-level law enforcement. That alone would have been Mesbethe’s end, had there been no factions supporting. But there were forces still very much loyal to ‘Mad King Mesbethe’; he still had complete allegiance from the Corporate Militias, whom, having been unregulated in their pursuit of power for some time, were better armed than the United States Military.

Battling the Beast: Fall of the Corporate Militias
It is impossible to document every conflict that occurred between November 2nd, 2019, and March 14th, 2020. As people rioted in the corporate work camps, the militias did one of two things; they either joined those who were fighting to be free, or used their overwhelming firepower to murder thousands. When the actual military and police units joined the fight, the streets of America became a war zone. It was in this time that drone units (that would later be modified to patrol the Dark Zones for health sweeps) started being armed with HIBP (High Intensity Bundled Particle) Lasers, capable of burning up organic material quickly and efficiently. As both sides started using these drones, and other weapons of mass destruction, it became clear to those trying to restore the legitimate American and State Governments that Mesbethe and his followers were in the fight until the bitter end. No escalation, no loss of life on any scale, would ever convince them to surrender control. With no diplomatic approach available, a small group was cobbled together, consisting of Navy Seals, Green Berets, and Marines. The mission was simple; kill President Mesbethe.
